Location

Frail Care Centre

The Amber Valley Care Centre is situated within the Amber Valley Retirement Village in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal. It offers 24-hour nursing care, on-site laundry facilities, tasty meals and a cheerful, friendly atmosphere. The facility has 89 single rooms with phones, supported by 3 lounges (with TV’s) and a large dining room. The setting is tranquil, with two secure, secluded gardens, whilst the facility is secure with electrically controlled outside doors. The facility itself is light and airy with wide corridors.

With the Amber Lakes development next door, the Amber Valley Care Centre has been effectively updated by Assisted Living Units to cater to the greater Amber residents (Amber Valley, Amber Ridge, Amber Lakes and Amber Lee).

Residents are encouraged, where feasible, to become involved in activities in the Village e.g. playing bridge, attending concerts, and church services in the chapel which is right next door to the Centre. There is an on-site library and hairdresser too.

The Community and Entertainment Centre with 10 Assisted Living Units has also been built across the road from the existing Amber Valley Care Centre block, as an added service and expansion to the needs of the greater Amber Community.
