Swellendam is the third oldest magisterial town in South Africa and was rated the best South African Municipality in 2015. Swellendam is filled with historic buildings such as the Drostdy Museum and the beautiful NG Church, both of which are well-known landmarks in the town.

Swellendam is a peaceful town, surrounded by nature reserves and beautiful agriculture.

Situated in the Western Cape Province, Swellendam is approximately 220km from both Cape Town International Airport and George and is found nestled quietly at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains and the Breede River.
