Gqeberha boasts some of the cleanest and safest city beaches in South Africa. More than 40 kilometers of sun-splashed sand, rims the coast along Algoa Bay.  Hobie, Humewood and the Blue Flag King's Beach, are a few of the beautiful beaches adorning our beautiful area. 
The new Boardwalk development is the latest attraction for locals and visitors alike.  It comprises a casino, 140 key 5-Star Boardwalk Hotel, conference facilities, 26 000 sqm of retail space to include Woolworths, Checkers, Pick n Pay, two pharmacies, major banks, Nu Metro cinemas, restaurants and a new Sun Park Square designed to host major events. 
The beautiful suburbs of Summerstrand, Humewood and South End are within walking distance to the beach whilst having quick access to the freeways too. 
The beaches are the heart of Gqeberha.  Its rather magical to have the holiday feeling at your front door whilst at the same time having the convenience of being 5-10 minutes from the commercial hub.  

The Humewood Links golf course is a genuine seaside links, with wide, undulating fairways, fast greens and thick coastal bush - a round is a must for any golfer visiting the 'Friendly City'.

Professional medical practitioners operate from various medical facilities ensuring your family's health care needs are met. In Forest Hill you will find the Elizabeth Donkin Psychiatric hospital. St Georges Park has a private Life hospital and in Summerstrand, Intercare is ready to help by providing general practitioners, pathology labs, diving medicals, ECGs, lung function screenings, minor surgery and sports medicine. 

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA:
There is a beautiful 4km promenade with paths for cyclists, runners and walkers.  Watersport enthusiasts also love the warmer water in our area and enjoy swimming, surfing, canoeing and windsurfing. 
Cape Recife Nature Reserve is in the area along Marine Drive and includes SANCCOB, Gqeberha's marine bird rehabilitation and education centre. 
The Roseate Hiking Trail is a 9 km circular walking trail in the Cape Recife Reserve and offers beautiful unspoiled beaches, natural dune vegetation, rocky outcrops, a lighthouse an old-World War II observation post as well as a bird hide. 
The newly revamped Boardwalk Mall and Conference Centre 
Bayworld is a child-friendly museum with animal shows, maritime and historical exhibits 
South End Museum 
Humewood Links Golf course 
Pine Lodge Resort and Ziggys Restaurant, and the beachfront suburb of Summerstrand is home to International Ironman events. 
The beachfront has a very active Neighbourhood Watch group, and the residents keep in contact with each other through various whatsapp and telegram groups. There are numerous cameras in the area and the Metro Police, Atlas Security and Fidelity ADT Security keep a watchful eye in and around the neighbourhood.
