LOCATION:
Situated on the southern cape coast of SA, Plettenberg Bay, or Plett, as its popularly known, has sweeping golden beaches, the iconic Robberg eninsula, intriguing lagoons and estuaries, towering indigenous forests and unpolluted rivers, vineyards and wine estates. It's a wonderful coastal town about 40kms east of Knysna. George airport is the major airport in the region serving Plett and is an hour and 30-minute drive. For private flight arrivals, Plettenberg Bay airport is only 5 minutes from the town centre. Everything you need is conveniently located in the town centre. Main street is the hub of Plett. Everything is within walking distance, even the glorious beaches below Main Street. The steep tree lined streets are graced with some of Plett's long established homes. Only minutes from Hobie beach or Lookout beach where walking, sunbathing, swimming and surfing give you that holiday feeling all year round! Known as "Bahia Formosa" (beautiful Bay) by early Portuguese explorers, the "Plett feeling" is easy to experience.

Superb weather with average highs of 24 degrees and average lows of 12 degrees is just one of the many reasons the Garden Route is so popular. An average of 6 days rainfall a month ensures lush greenery all year round.

There are those who are up early to ride the forests and go parachuting and bungee jumping. Plett has 16 fantastic wine farms to wine and dine at. Enjoy a township tour, visit a township tavern or take part in any number of activities that make up the Plett Summer festival. Robberg, situated 8km south of Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route, is a nature reserve, national monument and World Heritage site. Visitors can expect inspiring landscapes, exciting dolphin and whale sightings in season and to be accompanied on their walks or hikes by a variety of bird species, the occasional seal might pop up to say hi. The reserve extends 1.8km offshore, providing protection to a range of vulnerable fish species.
