Kobus has a passion for maximising human potential. As the Head of Business Growth for Harcourts South Africa, he plays a pivotal role in all business aspects that impacts the growth of Harcourts. Working closely with the CEO, a team of Business Support Managers, and the entire Harcourts Head Support team, he is dedicated to fostering leadership excellence and delivering innovative growth strategies across the network.
With a career spanning over two decades in the real estate industry, Kobus brings a wealth of experience backed by a postgraduate degree in business management and leadership. He began his real estate journey in 2003 as a real estate consultant in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. His early success was marked by earning his company’s ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in 2004 and the title of ‘Agent of the Year’ in 2006. In 2008, he founded his own real estate business, but his passion for leadership and people development led him to transition into the corporate side of the industry by 2012.
Kobus’s corporate career began as a National Franchise Sales Consultant for the Rawson Property Group, where he travelled extensively across South Africa, engaging with real estate professionals and business owners. It was during these travels that he first encountered Harcourts, and he was deeply impressed by the company’s values, world-class technology, and culture. In April 2012, he joined Harcourts as a Business Development Manager.
