Lying on the Zwartkops River just 38 kilometres northwest of Port Elizabeth, Kariega (Uitenhage) is situated in the heart of the South African motor hub. Known as the Garden Town, Uitenhage was first a farming community on the banks of the Swartkops River. Uitenhage is also known as the Garden Town for its gorgeous position in the foothills of the Winterhoek Mountains.
