Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) is located on the South-Eastern coast of the Eastern Cape province of South Africa along the shores of Algoa Bay, only 10 minutes from the airport.

Gqeberha's colourful cultural heritage makes it a popular international and local holiday destination. It is the gateway to the Eastern Cape's adventure, outdoor and African big five game safari tourism. Port Elizabeth is home to the most diverse array of vegetation types in South Africa protecting five of the country's seven ecozones. The Roseate Hiking Trail is a 9 km circular walking trail in the Cape Recife Reserve and offers beautiful unspoiled beaches, natural dune vegetation, rocky outcrops, a lighthouse an old-World War II observation post as well as a bird hide.
Kragga Kamma Game Park, a privately owned coastal grassland and forest, shelters many herds of native African animals. Drive through the reserve to observe white rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and other species in their natural habitat.
Bayworld is a child-friendly museum with animal shows, maritime and historical exhibits
South End Museum
The beachfront suburb of Summerstrand is home to International Ironman events.
