    Fanie Mollentze

    Business Owner & Principal

Name: Stephanus Mollentze Current stats - More than R120 000 000.00 total value property sales. I matriculated in 1985 from High school Brackenfell. I joined the South African Police services and worked at the VIP unit in Pretoria for two years before transferring back to Cape Town for another year in the VIP unit. What I did there is confidential. I was always very curious about technology so after my SAP service, I entered the private sector and started working as a trainee computer technician. I guess I was good because within six months from start, I was recruited from Computer Company to Computer Company for the next few years until I landed as the IT Co-ordinator for a Group 5 company. I was one of the first 50 people in South Africa that qualified as an MSCE on NT4 and subsequently joined the largest computer firm in South Africa. After a few years as a Support specialist for the Nedcor group, I left, got married and travelled to work in London UK. I spend three years in the UK doing various things, mostly travelling and seeing the sites. When I returned, it felt like everything changed and decided to open up my own computer company. One of my clients was the Rawson group where I was part of installing computer systems and internet connectivity. One day, a certain principal mentioned that if I worked as hard in the property field as I did in the computer field, I would increase my income threefold. As someone that eagerly accepts a challenge, I swiftly qualified as a full agent and joined his firm. I started as an agent with Rawson Properties back in 2005 and achieved a level of success I needed at that time. After one year, I moved to Dickson Real Estate in Kraaifontein where I worked for two years and achieved accolades on various occasions for achieving various sales targets. After two years I moved to Perma Trust to further my career options. I started my own Real Estate firm named Kraaifontein Properties in 2010 with my partner John Brandsen and became an established brand name in the Kraaifontein area. After achieving all targets we set for ourselves, we purchased our own business premises in 2011 to offer better service to my loyal customers. We achieved a level of success that was unheard of and decided, in order to expand our business; we needed to join a big brand that offers the same values as we offered. On 01 April 2014, we joined the most successful franchise in South Africa. As Harcourts Cape Gate we want to improve our footprint in the Northern Suburbs and grow from strength to strength. Now the real test will be to see just how successful the Harcourts Cape Gate Brand will become over the next few years. Join me and be part of my success.

    Business Owner

In 2010 I opened my own Real Estate firm with my Business Partner Fanie Mollentze and became an established brand name in the Kraaifontein area. After achieving all targets we have set ourselves, we decided to expand and part of this expansion was to purchase our own business premises in 2011 to offer a better service to our loyal customers. The second part of the expansion was to join a big brand that offered the same values that we were used to. So, on the 01 April 2014, we joined the most technologically innovative franchise brand in South Africa. (HARCOURTS). Harcourts Cape Gate opened it’s doors to the public and has been serving our community under this brand since. In doing so we have been able to extend ourselves to the grater Northern Suburbs and is now an established name in Durbanville, Brackenfell and Kraaifontein.

I was born in 1962, Mowbray, Cape Town. My family lived at 57 Milton Road, Observatory. Today the house is known as Green Elephant Backpackers, many of my fondest memories lies there. I started school at Newlands Primary, we moved to Kraaifontein, then Touwsriver as my dad was working on the Railway. We returned to Kraaifontein in 1974 when I was again enrolled in Kraaifontein Primary, today known as Simonsberg Primary, the oldest school in Kraaifontein. I matriculated from High School Eben Dönges in 1979 at the age of seventeen. In 1982 I married the Love of my Life whom I met at the age of 16 and we are still married and blessed with three children, two boys and a girl. Today I am also a grandmother to a grandson and granddaughter.  We did the journey of Life and In 2011 returned to Kraaifontein. My husband, Koos, works at a NPO, Lofdal International , where he is the Agricultural Manager to the Feed My People Project , growing veggies in Tunnels and supplying to schools and soup kitchens.  After attending a school reunion in 2010, I decided to write a book on the History of Kraaifontein, as I realized there is such a love for this Town that resounds in the hearts op many. On the 31st of January 2014, I opened a Face book Page, called Kraaifontein Stories as a platform for me to connect - networking. Today the page has 9164 members, not all active, but also not leaving the page.  I did more than 400 personal interviews, gathering memories. I launched Kraaifontein Stories Book 1 in 2015, the second book in 2016. Each book has more than 150 life stories as well as photos of the old town and the people, which will warm every heart. I am in the process of Book 3, which will be launched in December 2018. Doing interviews and using all Social media to make contact and allow everyone to be part of leaving a legacy to the town and their families. Every house is home to a story.   Because I have a great love for people and a passion for history I decided to combine these two by writing a new chapter into my own Life story, joining Harcourts and becoming a Real Estate Consultant. Always putting our Clients First, Buyer or Seller, alike.

    Leonie Combrink

    Property Consultant

The foundation of my real estate career was laid in the good old days which were actually the “bad old days” when interest rates were over 20% and sellers had to invest in order for the purchaser to acquire a property. I worked for Mrs Joy Miles of Joy Miles Estates who was hugely successful in the Hartebeespoort area during the 1970’s and 1980’s. During that period I did a real estate correspondence course which was the only training available to me at the time. Opportunities arose which forced us to leave the area and it was only in 1993 that I went back to selling property. I started with Maxprop in Pietermaritzburg as secretary to the Managing Director and then went on to becoming an agent. Pelham Properties was one of the Network Listing agencies and I was headhunted by them – an agency I always wanted to become part of. Qualifications that I acquired were < The EAAB exam with tutor Leo Combrink < CRS (SA) with American instructors Ed Hatch and Del Baine < One years marketing course with Cherie Eilertsen < G.R.E.A.T. course with Jill Corfield as well as many other one day and In House courses covering Valuations, Pricing, etc. Once again we left the area and in 2004 I again joined Maxprop and then Homenet on the Bluff which later became Harcourts – an International company. Harcourts is very strong on training and technology thus allowing their agents to be up to date with the latest selling and marketing trends in property. The internal computer programme is one of the finest in the business – literally a one stop shopping experience for buyers and sellers alike! Since working for Harcourts I have attained the NQ4 qualification which is the minimum requirement for agents to remain in the industry. Harcourts offer In House training by professional tutors on a regular basis and I have attended several. These courses assisted me in attaining several achievement certificates including Gold, Silver and Bronze. My Mission Statement My goal is to provide a professional, informed service and to have satisfied clients who look forward to doing business with me again and again! Every buyer and seller will get my personal attention right through the sales process taking into account their specific needs and requirements; giving them peace of mind and still keeping Harcourts values of • Doing the right thing • Being Courageous • Putting you first • Fun and laughter

    Louise Hattingh

    Property Consultant (Intern)

I matriculated in 1994 from Bedfordview High School in Johannesburg, now commonly known as Gauteng. In Std 7 (Grade 9) I began working part-time in a Pharmacy until I completed Matric in 1994. I then started working full time at Vorna Valley Pharmacy from January 1995. I really enjoyed it until I unfortunately fell in the Pharmacy and hurt my knee badly. I then moved to other medical related companies in the years that followed. In 2002 myself and my family then decided to follow my In-laws to the most beautiful part of South Africa, Cape Town. My career then took a completely different turn in the complete opposite direction and I started working for Hamilton brush as a Sales Representative. What an amazing experience. I worked there for a few years and so I moved to a few other companies as a Sales Representative. I was then head hunted by a Contract cleaning company in 2007 and so my career path changed again. I then worked as an Area Manager (Operations). For the next few years it was a huge learning opportunity. One I will never forget. I worked at a few different contract cleaning companies and dealing with huge companies. I had wonderful staff that reported to me that I will never forget. In 2015 I wanted to get back to basics and went back to being a Sales Representative... Yes, Hamilton brush again and a year later offered a position at Ogrady’s Paint as a sales representative. I definitely grew in the different areas of my career, that I am truly thankful and grateful for. But little did I know that basic is good, however being the outgoing, go getter and fun person that loves people; I couldn’t do just basic, so here I am as an Intern Real Estate Agent. I joined Harcourts on the 7th August 2017 and look forward to a wonderful career, helping people achieve their dreams of buying their dream home and sellers selling and buying even better homes. My promise to you is that I will always be honest and open with you throughout I entire journey. I want to be a part of your Journey, should it be you buying your first home or even selling your house to buying your new bigger home. I am passionate about being of service to you and achieve the best possible result for you!
